Scar Treatments

Advanced Specialty Care and Med Spa offers a variety of treatments for scars. Come in for a consult to decide which option is best for you.

Types Of Scar Treatments

Scar Treatments include:

  • Surgery to remove the scar
  • Steroid injections
  • Silicone sheets to flatten the scar
  • Can be treated with other services we offer as well
  • CO2 Fractional Laser

What to Expect

Smaller keloids can be treated using cryotherapy (freezing therapy using liquid nitrogen). You can also prevent keloid formation by using pressure treatment or gel pads with silicone when you are injured. There are many different types of scars, but the most common ones are keloid, contracture, hypertrophic, and of course, acne scars.

Most people get scars in places that are easily concealed, but sometimes you are burdened with large scars in places like the face. Stop on by for a consultation and everything we can to help you.

What's The Recovery Time?

The initial healing phase of a surgical scar revision may include localized swelling, discoloration or discomfort and may take one to two weeks. Healing will continue for several weeks and as the new scar heals it will slowly refine and fade.
